Christ in the Precinct has been running in Coventry city centre for a number of years, so for 2008 they focused on the theme of HOPE.

How did it work?
|
Over three days they offered free face painting, balloons, chocolate eggs, and shoe shining. There were performances from gospel choirs, screenings of the BBC’s The Passion series, a wooden cross where people could put their prayers, and they even had an outdoor Communion service on Good Friday.
In the weeks and months leading up to the event, they videoed hundreds of people asking them what their hopes, dreams and prayers for Coventry were. The resulting video was shown on a large screen to shoppers and passers-by over the weekend.
