Soul by the Sea - Brighton
Soul by the Sea, Brighton’s Easter Festival, will take place Easter weekend 7-8th April 2012. It will host a number of Christian bands and artists and finish with a spectacular reprise of the Passion of Christ play that caused such a positive reaction on Brighton seafront in 2011.
Last year Brighton hosted its first Passion Play on the seafront which attracted thousands from the surround community. This fantastic event has now merged with Soul by the Sea to create an Easter Festival which goes all out to celebrate and share the Christian message.
Church members across Brighton and Hove are involved as stewards, cast and musicians. and local churches take ownership of the event by putting on a variety of Fringe events as part of the festival. There are rumours of a musical flash mob.
It is good to see the Christian witness on the streets of Brighton. I hope many church goers can support the initiative & make their presence felt in the broader community. This is a great opportunity lets not miss it.’ – Bishop Conry – Bishop of Arundel and Brighton
