This idea, from Fusion Youth and Community, allows children to write prayers for the Queen, our country and for their own family. Find out how you can involve children in your community in schools, in church or at the Big Jubilee Lunch itself. Your church could pray the prayers children in your community are praying.

young children's prayer: "Great God, whose son Jesus looks after us, we thank you for our wonderful Queen. At this special time of Jubilee, please give her love, joy and peace as she does what you ask her to do and looks after us her people; through Jesus Christ who loves us all. Amen"
secondary age prayer: "O God our Father; you love all your children in this and every nation: we give you thanks for Elizabeth our Queen at this time of Jubilee; give her your strength and protection, your love and your peace, that she may joyfully serve you and her people all the days of her life; we ask this through Jesus Christ, our Lord and our friend."

For many older folk, this Diamond Jubilee will belong to them: the Coronation reminds them of street parties when they were young. HOPE has some great ideas of how you can help generations to link and celebrate with older people in residential care homes.
