Trumpet Call 2013 - a day of prayer
Christians around the British Isles and Ireland are invited to Birmingham for a day to pray for our nations on Saturday 15 June from 11am-5pm.
The World Prayer Centre, which is promoting the day, says: 'As we make this call, along with many others, we sense an urgency about the importance of this day. Our nations are in increasing turmoil as we observe the consequences of ungodly decisions made both in the past and by our national leaders today. These decisions not only affect us, but will also affect generations to come. We believe that as we pray, our prayers will make a difference and will change circumstances and situations. We will look at roots causing brokenness, distress, danger and then we will pray for the release of God’s Kingdom in villages, towns and cities across the nations. There are many signs that God is blessing and wants to bless, but there is a battle being waged for the very soul of the nations. This invitation is to stand in humility and unity that together, in our day, we will see His kingdom come and His will done.'
The Trumpet Call takes place at The International Convention Centre, in Birmingham. The day includes testimony, thanksgiving, worship and Word and will be centred around Jeremiah 1:10: 'Today I appoint you over nations and kingdoms to uproot and tear down, to destroy and overthrow, to build and to plant.'
