HOPE Together is recruiting local church Mission Champions and area HOPE Practitioners.

Imagine if every church and area in the UK had people who are resourced and equipped to make Jesus known together with words and action.

Mission Champions

The dream is that every church will have a Mission Champion who will inspire and equip fellow church members to reach out, making Jesus known. Here are six things Mission Champions can do.

  1. Encourage fellow church members to serve the community, making Christ known through their love and practical service
  2. Inspire church members to consider how they can bring Christ to the place that they spend the most time, Monday to Friday … their own ‘frontline’.
  3. Help your church to recognise a rhythm of mission: Easter, Summer, Harvest and Christmas. These seasons provide amazing opportunities to reach out.
  4. Adopt missional best practice. Visit greatcommission.co.uk for examples of best practice for missional evangelism.
  5. Publicise training courses such as Talking Jesus; an innovative, six-part video course to help Christians share faith confidently and naturally.
  6. Motivate your church to pray for your community, to speak about their faith with new confidence, to give of themselves in service, to offer appropriate literature or other resources to their unchurched friends, and to practise hospitality, inviting unchurched friends to their homes, to events or to whatever would help them on their spiritual journey.

HOPE Practitioners

We are also developing a network of HOPE Practitioners to pass on news from HOPE Together to local churches and to encourage local churches to work together.

To make HOPE Together happen to the max in the UK we need people with enthusiasm and commitment to spread the word about the HOPE Together vision and resources.

Some areas, like Coventry, employ a HOPE Practitioner to coordinate ongoing activities. Other HOPE practitioners are working on a voluntary basis. The key qualification is to be passionate about seeing churches work together to make Jesus known. Could you bring churches together to bring hope to your community, while keeping people informed and encouraged? If so then you would be ideal as a HOPE practitioner! Please complete the form below and we will make sure you receive advance information about HOPE’s plans and resources. We will be in touch to help you explore the possibilities and give you support.
