Reading the Bible was key to 24% of practising Christians coming to faith.

- Talking Jesus Report 2022.

At Hope, we are committed to helping people who don’t yet know Jesus to read about him for themselves.

Contemporary Gospels

FS8A2088
Our contemporaryMark’s Gospel was created, with Biblica, in response to a survey that showed that the look and feel of the bible mattered to the younger generations if they were going to pick it up and read it for themselves. It looks and feels like a quality magazine/book.

It is also available as a digital version with audio readings. We've created some handout cards so you can share this version with others.

We have also published a Ukrainian edition of our Mark's Gospel so the story of Jesus can be read by those who read/speak Ukrainian. Working in partnership with Biblica, you can purchase a copy that will be distributed to Ukrainian refugees

"I think a lot of people in this last season have been quite intrigued by God, and they’re not quite sure where to look. And if you say to them, 'Open a Bible', it might be that it’s hard to know where to start. This just talks about Jesus! And Jesus is always a fantastic place to start. It’s very easy to engage with, so that’s what I would recommend."

Richard Keeler – Assistant Minister (Schools and Community), Thundersley Congregational Church

Discover Bible Key Card

GRNGet the Key Card

This is a key fob which uses QR codes to enable people to access the Bible in different languages. Use it in conversations so that people can download a Bible they can read onto their phone.

Discovery Bible App

We believe that exploring the Bible should be an engaging and welcoming experience — one that fosters connection and discovery. That’s why we encourage the Discovery approach.

The Discover Bible app helps anyone read the Bible with others. Bible Discovery Communities are small groups where people come together to explore the Bible in a friendly, open environment. These aren’t classes or lectures — they’re genuine conversations driven by questions. Using just four simple questions, everyone can participate and discover new insights. Our goal is to have groups all across the area in different locations, times, and days — not just in churches — so there’s likely to be a group nearby that fits your schedule. We want everyone to find a welcoming space to explore the Bible at their own pace.

Want some top tips to start your own Bible Discovery Community? Download the How to Run a Bible Discovery Community guide.

The Discovery Bible Study questions have led to church growth in many countries across the world. But what are the questions?

  • What stands out to me from the passage?
  • What does the passage tell me about God?
  • What does the passage tell me about people?
  • If this is God’s word to me how could it make a difference to my life?
  • (Session 2)How did what you read make a difference to your life?
It’s easy - you don’t need to know all the answers, you just need to be willing to ask questions. If you don’t fancy using the app, there’s a book version in our shop.

We want everyone who takes a gospel to easily find and join their local discovery community! Add the location to the map to help people find your Bible Discovery Community.
