The Bible Society, Hope and YWAM are very grateful to have worked in partnership with Hope Coventry to pilot this project. In 2025 Hope Coventry aimed to reach 30,000 doors and give out 10,000 gospels. This did not come out of nowhere but rather emerged from churches working together in Coventry for Hope Coventry for over ten years. In that time the churches have prayed for every street in the city and developed hundreds of community based projects that serve local people and build trust.

Start a Bible Discovery Community

Bible Discovery Communities are small groups where people can explore and discover the Bible together. The groups are not there to tell people what to think, it’s not a lecture, but a genuine exploration using 4 simple questions. The aim is for there to be groups all across the area in different places… not all churches / days / times so hopefully there’s something accessible for everyone.

Share Bibles 

Research tells us that when we have a conversation about faith, 1 in 3 will want to know more and will take a gospel. To help us track this and distribution we encourage you to use the YWAM Share Bibles app if you are giving away gospels. The Share Bibles App is GDPR compliant so you won’t be asked to input any names or personal details, but it will help you to track your outreach, who is not in, who is in but doesn’t want a gospel, who already has a gospel, takes one or needs one in another language.

Each project/area can create their own team within the app e.g. Coventry, that everyone can see so it’s easy to see if you need to revisit a house perhaps because the person wasn’t in. A facilitator can create a project/area via the Share Bibles website.
 

Prayer Resources

Prayer and proclamation go together. We pray then share the gospel. There are lots of ways to pray for your area so choose the approach that best suits you/your team/context. 

• People adopt particular streets
• Regular prayer meetings together perhaps organised by locality
• Individually or together prayer walking your community physically or virtually
