Inspiring Local Stories
The Bible Society, Hope and YWAM are very grateful to have worked in partnership with Hope Coventry to pilot this project. In 2025 Hope Coventry aimed to reach 30,000 doors and give out 10,000 gospels. This did not come out of nowhere but rather emerged from churches working together in Coventry for Hope Coventry for over ten years. In that time the churches have prayed for every street in the city and developed hundreds of community based projects that serve local people and build trust.

Starting a Bible Discovery Community fosters connection and provides an engaging way to explore the bible as a group. That’s why we promote the Discovery approach.
Bible Discovery Communities are small, friendly groups where people explore the Bible together using simple questions—no lectures, just honest conversation. These groups are located in various places and times, so there’s likely one nearby that fits your schedule.

Discovery Bible Communities here. Help others discover your group, add your Discovery Community to the map!
Share Bibles
Start with Share Bibles
Did you know that when we have conversations about faith, about 1 in 3 people will want to find out more and might accept a gospel? To help us see the impact of these moments and to stay connected in our outreach, we encourage you to use the YWAM Share Bibles app whenever you’re giving out gospels. The good news is, it’s GDPR compliant—so you won’t need to input names or personal details. Instead, it helps you keep track of who’s interested, who’s not yet in, who already has a gospel, or who might need one in another language.
Each area or project can set up its own team within the app (for example, Coventry), which everyone can see. This makes it easy to know if you need to go back and visit someone again, maybe because they weren’t in the first time. Facilitators can set up a project or area through the Share Bibles website.
Here is how it works:
Prayer Resources
Prayer and proclamation go together. We pray then share the gospel. There are lots of ways to pray for your area so choose the approach that best suits you/your team/context.
-
People adopt particular streets
-
Regular prayer meetings together perhaps organised by locality
-
Individually or together prayer walking your community physically or virtually

Listening to Context
You might want to do some deeper prayer and listening into the place you want to reach through spiritual mapping, listening in different dimensions (history, God, place and people now).
