Hope Together, Bible Society, and Kingsgate Church have joined forces to launch a groundbreaking film series and outreach initiative to reach audiences with the question “Am I ALIVE?” to spark curiosity this Easter.

The ALIVE campaign targets the nearly three-in-ten adults in the UK who, while affirming the resurrection have uncertainties about its significance or implications for themselves personally. To address this, the series is a versatile resource designed for churches, small groups, and individuals to spark conversations within their communities.

Made up of five short films, ALIVE delves into various encounters with the risen Jesus, and there are additional resources catering to diverse demographics including youth, young adults, and families. Each segment explores unique aspects of encountering the resurrected Jesus, aiming to foster deeper understanding and engagement asking individuals the big question “#AmIALIVE?”

Over 50 churches have already committed to incorporating ALIVE into their Easter 2024 programs, with preparations underway since February 2024. To ensure widespread accessibility, the initiative offers a dedicated website housing supplementary resources, adaptable plans, and branding materials for churches.

In addition to the film series, Hope Together will lead a supporting #AmIALIVE campaign encompassing street-based promotions, door-to-door outreach initiatives, and large-scale distribution of a custom-designed newspaper also called Am I ALIVE. Church banners, flyers, and digital assets will build on the outreach efforts. Rachel Jordan-Wolf from Hope Together underscored the significance of ALIVE considering recent findings from the Talking Jesus study, which revealed a substantial interest among non-Christians in finding out more about Jesus.

As Easter approaches, the campaign stands ready to stimulate meaningful dialogue and contemplation, inviting individuals of all backgrounds to explore the timeless narrative of resurrection and its implications in contemporary society. The course asks each person, as if from Jesus himself, #AmIALIVE, and at the same time asks them to ask this question of themselves.
